Celebrating Theatre in Washington State
The Gregory Awards are a set of honors dedicated to theatre in Washington State. Administered by Theatre Puget Sound, the Gregory Awards present an opportunity to come together to celebrate theatre in our region, honor the outstanding achievements of our theatre practitioners, and to raise the visibility of the local theatre scene as a whole.
This Year’s Event
On October 25th, 2010, Theatre Puget Sound (TPS) will present a catered reception that will include an awards ceremony and live entertainment throughout the evening. The event will be held at
ACT – A Contemporary Theatre, Kreielsheimer Place, 700 Union Street, Seattle, WA 98101. Tickets will go on sale starting September 7, 2010, and will be available for purchase from the ACT Box Office.
Changes for 2010: Based on overwhelming response from the community, we have added five new annual categories, for a total of eleven. Also, starting this year, any Washington State resident will have the opportunity to submit one candidate for nomination in each category. The highest ranking candidate will appear on the final ballot alongside the other nominees, and will be referred to as the People’s Choice nominee.To submit a candidate for nomination, the public can sign up at seattleperforms.com to receive the Seattle Performs monthly e-newsletter.
